Just how do we get the word out for ...

We use several ways to get the word out for many things.

We use a service called Connect-Ed by the NTI Group. It has been met with great success. Call us and let us tell you all about the system.

Absence of a High School Student
We use Connect-Ed to communicate to a parent every time a High Student is absent. If you are not getting these calls, please make sure the High Schools have your correct number. Especially one that can be reached after about 5PM.

Inclement Weather
We will also use the Connect-Ed system for bad weather. We also will continue to use WNKX (96.7 FM) as well as all of the Nashville TV stations. We also try to post on the website if we know in time of closure.

Communication From Each School
Believe it or not, we actually give out papers at school. Whether they make it home or not is another story! If you feel like you are not getting things from your school, please feel free to contact your school to arrange an alternate plan. We also use Connect-Ed for special events.

Sporting Events
WNKX has carried live games from the Hickman County High School and both middle schools in the past. We hope they will also carry the sporting events from the new East Hickman High School beginning in 2007.

E-Mail
Every teacher and office personnel has an active e-mail address. If you wish to communicate with a teacher or staff member via e-mail, please contact that person to get their address.
