• Pair of Fiskars scissors (blunt tip)

• Box of 8 crayons (Crayola brand-small)

• 4 oz. bottle of Elmer's white school glue

• One package of yellow #2 pencils

• Mat for nap time

• Box of envelopes to be left at home to send money/notes to school

• Gym shoes (white soles only, to be left at school)

• Non-rolling Back Pack

These are BASIC supplies.  Each teacher will have her own supply list with additional items.  You will receive the full supply list from your child's teacher on the first day of school.  When a brand is specified, please purchase that brand.  The Family Resource Center gives each child a bag on the first day of school with supplies.  The bags usually have glue, scissors, and crayons.  It will be helpful for your child to have a set of supplies at home for homework, school projects, or make up work when he/she is sick. Your child will need several boxes of crayons throughout the school year.  We suggest you purchase several boxes at the start of the school year while school supplies are on sale.

Gym shoes are very important.  Your child must have them in order to fully participate in gym.  When you purchase gym shoes, please make sure that they are white-soled.  Practice putting the gym shoes on and taking them off with your child.  If your child cannot tie shoes (most kindergarten age children cannot), we suggest that you purchase slip-on or Velcro-type closure shoes.
