2008-2009 Supply Lists

 

 
 Sixth Grade

During the 2008-2009 school year, cell phones, CD or MP3 players, toys, calculators, IPODS, skateboards, or any type of electronic device WILL NOT BE ALLOWED in the school building at any time.

  • trapper keeper or binder that zips or fastens

  • only mesh or clear backpacks are allowed

  • wide ruled loose leaf paper

  • pencils (If using a mechanical pencil, extra lead will be needed.)

  • pencil bag

  • colored pencils or crayons (Absolutely no ink pens or markers of any kind are allowed.)

  • six extra-large stretchy book covers or paper book covers.  Please do not buy sticky book covers.

  • 8 folders with brads and pockets (Try to purchase different colors)

  • 4 dry erase markers

  • 1 folder with brads and pockets for guidance class

  • 2 boxes of facial tissues

  • 1 composition notebook for English

  • Spiral index cards (50 count) for Social Studies

  • 1 pair of tennis shoes with non-marking soles

  • NO locks

 
 
Seventh Grade
  • Students need the following materials for each class as listed below.  PLEASE DO NOT BRING INK PENS, MARKERS, OR CALCULATORS TO SCHOOL!

  • MESH or CLEAR backpack

  • Four three ring binders with pockets-1 inch width (1 for math, 1 for science, 1 for social studies, and 1 for English and reading)

  • One ½ inch width three ring binder with pockets for social studies

  • Two one subject spiral notebooks with holes punched (1 for math and 1 for social studies)

  • Loose leaf notebook paper (wide-ruled)

  • Pencils (not mechanical)

  • Colored pencils and crayons (no markers)

  • Six book covers (Please do not buys sticky book covers or small stretchy book covers since they damage the books.  Buy the large size if you use stretchy book covers.)

  • Three packs of dividers for notebooks

  • Four folders with pockets and brad fasteners (1 for computer, 1 for library, 1 for guidance, and 1 for English).

  • Four dry erase markers (2 for math, 2 for reading for student use)

  • Resealable pack of baby wipes

  • Facial tissues

  • Paper towels

  • P.E.--Tennis shoes separate from those worn to school are required in P.E. class.  P.E. shoes will be taken to P.E. and changed into before students are allowed to participate in P.E. class.

  • ORGANIZING HINTS:

  • 1.  Buy different colored binders for each class requiring them (example: red for Social Studies, blue for Reading/English, green for Mathematics, orange for Science, etc.)

  • 2. DO NOT BUY INK PENS OR MARKERS!  Pens used in classes will be furnished by the school.

  • 3. Have extra pencils.  There seems to be a shortage of pencil by October!

  • 4. Cover your textbooks, but make sure to label them clearly so you do not get the wrong book by mistake (you can cover them with different book covers or different colors of paper).  DO NOT USE CONTACT PAPER TO COVER TEXTBOOKS!

  • 5. Write assignment down in an assignment notebook or on an assignment sheet.

 

 Eighth Grade
 

PLEASE DO NOT BRING PENS TO SCHOOL.  THEY ARE NOT PERMITTED.

  • #2 Pencils

  • Mechanical pencils with extra lead

  • Loose leaf notebook paper (wide ruled)

  • Colored pencils or crayons for Social Studies and Science classes

  • Facial tissues (1 box) Homeroom

  • Paper towels (1 roll) Homeroom

  • One 1” three ring binder for Science class (any color)

  • Mesh or clear backpacks only

  • Different colored 1” binders for each class

  • 3 packs of dividers

  • 2 dry erase markers for Mathematics class

  • Physical education shoes are required for P.E. class.  These shoes are separate from what the student wears to school.

  • If book covers are purchased, please buy the large size stretchy covers rather than the small size.  Please no sticky covers or contact paper to cover textbooks.

  • Graph paper for Mathematics class

  • One spiral notebook for English journal

  • 2 folders with pockets and brads for Reading class

  • 1 folder with pockets and brads for Guidance class

No sticky covers or contact paper covers for textbooks.
