Houghton Mifflin Spelling K-6

The Houghton Mifflin Spelling and Vocabulary program for students in grades 1-6 is a systematic, developmentally appropriate word-study resource that places emphasis on learning principles and patterns rather than only learning individual words. The program is based on the understanding that the spelling system in English is a powerful tool for writing but also plays a critical role in students' vocabulary development, reading comprehension, and reading fluency. The application of standard spelling to written work is the goal of every student.

Hickman County Teachers are now using Houghton Mifflin Spelling and Vocabulary in the classroom.
