Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Position Responsibilities:

• Direct interventions for students with suspected speech and/or language difficulties; provide consultation to teachers and parents regarding areas of disability and appropriate interventions;

• Conduct evaluations of students referred for speech and/or language evaluation;

• Conduct meetings with school system personnel and parents regarding evaluation/re-evaluation needs of students;

• Provide speech-language therapy in PreK through Grade 12 environments; and

• Provide training for school system personnel as needed.

Hours: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Start Date: August 1, 2008

Salary: HCBOE System-wide Salary Schedule Training and Experience Level, supplement available

Minimum Requirement:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology;

• Speech-Language Certification as recognized by the Tennessee Department of Education;

• Prefer PSSP Licensure (will consider Bachelor's level candidates)
