To setup the Toshiba printer.


Tell me, what kind of computer are you running? To figure this out, click <Start>. Your answer is on the left of the Start Menu.

Windows 2000
Windows XP

Windows XP computers

  1. Click <Start> button
  2. Click <My Network Places>
  3. Click <Entire Contents>. It is on the left of the window.
  4. In the right pane, double click <Microsoft Windows Network>.
  5. Double click <HCBOE>.
  6. Scroll down until you find your server. It is named with your school initials. (ces, ehes, cis, ehis, hcms or hchs )
  7. Double click that name.
  8. Double click <ToshibaDrivers>.
  9. Double click <P2P>.
  10. Run <setup>
  11. After that runs, close all windows.
  12. Goto <start>, <programs>, <ip-p2p>, <configure ip-p2p>
  13. Click <printers>
  14. If there are no printers listed, click <find printers>.
  15. When a printer shows in the lower window, close all windows.
  16. Goto <start>, <Printers and Faxes>
  17. Click <add printer>. It is on the left side
  18. Click<Next>.
  19. Make sure the choice <Local printer> is chosen.
  20. Uncheck the box that starts with Automatically... Click <Next>
  21. Make sure the choice <Use the following port> is chosen
  22. Scroll down to the port that starts with 10.189. and click once on it.
  23. Click <Next>
  24. When it asks for a printer driver, choose <Have disk>.
  25. Click <Browse>
  26. Click <My Network Places> on the left side of the screen
  27. Double Click <Entire Contents>. It is at the top of the window.
  28. Double click <Microsoft Windows Network>.
  29. Double click <HCBOE>.
  30. Scroll down until you find your server. It is named with your school initials. (ces, ehes, cis, ehis, hcms or hchs )
  31. Double click that name.
  32. Double click <ToshibaDrivers>.
  33. Double click <w2k>.
  34. Click once on <Setup> (The only file it shows)
  35. Click <Open>
  36. Click <OK>
  37. Click <Next>
  38. If this is your only printer, then choose <YES>, else choose <NO>.
  39. Click <Next>
  40. Leave choice as <Do not share>
  41. Leave choice as <No>, Do not print test page.
  42. Click <Continue Anyway>, if a warning comes up
  43. Click <Finish>

Windows 2000 computers

  1. Windows 2000: Open <My Network Places>
  2. Click <Entire Contents>. It is on the left of the window.
  3. In the right pane, double click <Microsoft Windows Network>.
  4. Double click <HCBOE>.
  5. Scroll down until you find your server. It is named with your school initials. (ces, ehes, cis, ehis, hcms or hchs )
  6. Double click that name.
  7. Double click <ToshibaDrivers>.
  8. Double click <P2P>.
  9. Run <setup>
  10. After that runs, close all windows.
  11. Goto <start>, <programs>, <ip-p2p>, <configure ip-p2p>
  12. Click <printers>
  13. If there are no printers listed, click <find printers>.
  14. When a printer shows in the lower window, close all windows.
  15. Goto <start>, <Settings>, <Printers>
  16. Click <add printer>. It is the top choice.
  17. Click<Next>.
  18. Make sure the choice <Local printer> is chosen.
  19. Uncheck the box that starts with Automatically... Click <Next>
  20. Make sure the choice <Use the following port> is chosen
  21. Scroll down to the port that starts with 10.189. and click once on it.
  22. Click <Next>

  38. If this is your only printer, then choose <YES>, else choose <NO>.
  39. Click <Next>
  40. Leave choice as <Do not share>
  41. Leave choice as <No>, Do not print test page.
  42. Click <Finish>
